Vision
Communities united through joyful, culturally grounded and socially purposeful football experiences.
About African Bola
African Bola is a Zambian community-football platform inspired by the traditional Chimbombwa ball and the unifying power of play.
Our story
Football is one of Zambia's most beloved sports and one of its most powerful meeting places. During moments of football, people gather across age, gender, profession, culture and social background. African Bola builds upon this familiar spirit.
The platform celebrates the informal football traditions found in communities, including the handmade plastic ball known as Chimbombwa. It brings those traditions into organised public experiences shaped around unity, peace, cultural appreciation, health, education, environmental responsibility and mentorship.

Our purpose
Communities united through joyful, culturally grounded and socially purposeful football experiences.
To organise inclusive African Bola events that connect football with peace, culture, positive living, education and environmental action.
Our Own Victory expresses a victory created locally, shared collectively and expressed through belonging, respect and positive community participation.
The Chimbombwa ball
Made largely from collected plastic, the Chimbombwa ball reflects creativity, adaptation and the desire to play with what is available.
African Bola preserves this tradition while giving it wider meaning. Making the ball can help children see discarded plastic differently, take responsibility for cleaner communities and connect practical creativity with education.
